I will mail you a registration number and certificate. The registration screens that appear when the application start and quits will no longer appear once you enter your registration number.
3. The Buttons-
There are seven buttons that allow you take care of your cat. On the left side are the two buttons for feeding. There is one for dry food and one for wet food. Located at the top are the play buttons. One button for playing with the ball and another for playing with the string. On the right are the buttons for flea spray and an injection of medicine. Located at the bottom is the button for resetting your cat.
4. Feeding Your Cat-
You can feed your cat dry and wet food. When your cat gets hungry he will let you know by looking at you and giving you a meow. The message "Feed Me" will appear on the screen. If your cat is extremely hungry he will eat anything that you give him. He will have no preference as to wet or dry food. If your cat is only a little bit hungry he may have a preference for either wet or dry food. If you give him one of the two and he refuses to eat it then try giving him the other. If your cat turns down both wet and dry food then he is not hungry at all.
5. Playing With Your Cat-
Your cat loves it when you play with him using the ball and the string. Your cat needs to play to get some of the wildness out of his system. When your cat wants to play he will let you know by jumping up and down. The message "Lets Play" will also appear on the screen. If your cat is really wild he will have no preference as to whether you play with the ball or the string. If he is only a little bit wild then he may have a preference as to which he wants to play with. If your cat refuses to play with one then try the other. If he turns down both then he is just tired of playing. Playing with your cat will increase both his sleepiness and his hunger.
6. Fleas-
Fleas will tend to make their home on your cat. If the flea population on your cat grows to an uncomfortable level then you will notice your cat scratching. The message "Fleas" will appear on the screen and you will know it is time to use the flea spray. Spray your cat with the can of flea spray and the flea population will be reduced. Do not over use the flea spray. Too much can be unhealthy for your cat.
7. Treating a Sick Cat-
If your cat becomes ill he will begin to sneeze and the message "Sick Cat" will appear. Treat your cat with an injection of medicine. The medicine will help restore the health of your cat. Determine if there is another factor that is the cause of your cat's illness, such as lack of food, flea outbreak, or not enough exercise. The medicine will make your cat very sleepy. Do not over dose your cat. Too much medicine can be very dangerous for your cat.
8. Your Cat Passes On-
If your cat passes on he will appear as an angel with wings and a halo above his head. None of the buttons will respond except for the reset button. Click on the reset button and your cat will be reborn.
9. Resetting the Cat-
You can reset your cat at anytime by pressing the reset button. Click on the reset button once and the message "Reset?" will appear on the screen. Click the reset button a second time to reset the game and restore your cat to a 100% perfect condition. Click on any button other than reset when the message "Reset?" is showing to cancel.
10. Saving Your Cat-
All of the information regarding the condition of your cat will automatically be saved when you quit the Keychain Cat application. You do not need to do anything to save your game. When you start up Keychain Cat again your information will automatically be loaded and your game will continue from where you left it.
11. Error Reporting-
Keychain cat is designed to detect and report abnormal situations before they can cause serious problems. These measures are designed to prevent the program or system from freezing or crashing. If an error is reported a suggestion to remedy the situation will be given if one is available. If no suggestion is available then the error may be memory related. Try allocating more memory to the Keychain Cat application.
